Kavaja Rock Beach

Albanian town of Kavaja inspired the name of a landmark, Shkëmbi i Kavajës (Rock of Kavaja). The enormous rock is located about 6 kilometers from Kavaja and 8 kilometers from Durrës. It is reported that Caesar and Pompey engaged in combat there in 48 BC, during Caesar's Civil War. Today the beach near the rock is popular with tourists, foreign and local. Due to its location near Durrës, tourists can find anything they need during their stay.
